Today I had an entire evening to work on the aircraft, which let me make good progress. The first job I finished was fitting the two 18x18 mm longerons along the bottom of the fuselage. I decided to complete that step and bond those parts first before continuing with the final fitting of the two 18x18 mm side longerons.
The curvature and overall fuselage shape look good, and with the lower longerons in place the whole setup has much more rigidity to work from.

My favorite saw type: a Japanese-style pull saw, although this cheap version is not very good.

A technique that worked for me is to bend the longerons by hand and use them to trace the shape on the bulkheads.

Then I used a straight scrap piece as a guide while cutting the marked line with the pull saw.
