I had not touched the canopy since picking it up. It was just lying in the area where I now need to mount the fuselage, so I had to protect it and move it to another storage location.

I used some old XPS boards, cut them to fit the canopy on both sides like bulkheads, then fixed them in place with PU foam — having first checked that the foam does not stick to the canopy's protective film.
