PVC Foam Cutlist & Order

2025-06-11

Today, I ordered the first batch of PVC foam to fill the cutouts of the firewall. The firewall is the only place I could find where PVC foam of this thickness is required. There is an option to use 70 kg/m3 foam for the final (outer) section of the wing spar.

The rest of the wing spar has to be filled with a higher density foam!

PVC foam is quite expensive, and I searched on various pages to find a good offer. In the end I ordered two small sheets of 25mm PVC from Easy Composites The sheets have a dimension of 540x505 mm and they are just enough for both the firewall cutouts and an outer section of the wing spars.

I found it the most economical solution.
